Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Kept when you use the app. Please read them. By creating an account you agree to them.
What Kept is, and is not
Kept is a personal finance tool that helps you see your money. Kept is not a bank, payment service, broker, or financial adviser. Kept never holds or moves your money and cannot make changes at your bank. Nothing in the app is financial, legal, or tax advice. Decisions about your money are yours.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
Bank connections
When you connect a bank you authorise Kept, through Plaid, to read your account and transaction data. You can revoke this at any time by disconnecting the bank in the app. Data from your bank may be delayed, missing, or wrong. Always check important figures with your bank.
Estimates
Features such as recurring-charge detection, monthly totals, and savings projections are automatic estimates. They can be wrong. Kept is not liable for decisions you make based on them.
Acceptable use
- Only connect accounts you are allowed to access.
- Do not try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Do not use Kept for anything unlawful.
Fees
Kept is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans we will tell you clearly in advance, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. When an account is closed, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Limits on liability
Kept is provided as-is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Kept is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or losses caused by inaccurate data from third parties. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we will tell you inside the app or by email before they take effect.
